Update: Walk-ins welcome! This is a FREE clinic that will be held in person in Prestonsburg, KY at the Floyd County Library from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm. It is available for persons from any county in our service area, will be limited to 20 participants and is available for both clients with or without children of the marriage. It will address issues of divorce, custody, and family law. AppalReD Legal Aid attorneys and Notre Dame law students will be on site to meet with you. You must register by calling our Central Intake line at 1-866-277-5733.

Kyjustice.org is a great free legal resource
      FRANKFORT, KENTUCKY– MARCH 24 2022    Kentuckians now have access to a free, new and improved legal resource that provides answers to common legal questions, self-help forms, guides, and other tools to resolve life’s important legal problems.  
Call for Volunteer Lawyers for Appalachian Kentucky
Call for Volunteers AppalReD/VLAK is in urgent need of attorneys to accept cases, pro bono or by contract ("low bono"), in all counties in our service area, but particularly in Floyd, Johnson, Monroe, Cumberland and Adair Counties.  Pro bono attorneys are also needed to assist with pro se clinics, both in-person and virtual.  Please contact Mary Going, Pro Bono Director, at (606) 889-1955 or maryg@ardfky.org

Family Law Clinic: Barbourville
This is a FREE clinic that will be held in person at Union College from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm. Union College is located at 310 College Street. The Pro Se Family Law Clinic is available for persons from any county in our service area, will be limited to 20 participants and is available for both clients with or without children of the marriage. It will address issues of divorce, custody, and family law. You must register by calling our Central Intake line at 1-866-277-5733. 
Goodwill Virtual Expungement Clinic
This is a free STATEWIDE clinic that will be held online. To register visit this link. Once you sign up we will receive a Zoom link to confirm your spot. After the virtual clinic, Goodwill will request your unofficial background records from the Administrative Office of the Court for the purpose of expungement. A copy of your background will be provided to AppalReD Legal Aid (or your area's legal aid), so they will be able to go over it with you to determine what is eligible for expungement.
