Eastern Kentucky health stats are gloomy. Why are these ‘bright spots’ doing better?

But it also provides information on substance abuse, hosts healthy-cooking classes and diabetes workshops, puts on book walks that combine reading and exercise for kids and helps patrons research health issues.
APPALRED LEGAL AID ENCOURAGES FORMER CLIENTS OF ERIC C. CONN TO SEEK REPRESENTATION
Hearings continue in the review of Social Security Disability (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cases of clients formerly represented by attorney Eric C. Conn.  The outcome of these hearings will seriously impact Mr. Conn’s former clients.  If a client loses the hearing, the client will lose his/her benefits.  
Don’t re-victimize Eric Conn’s clients. Social Security should allow time for them to get their records.

AppalReD Legal Aid Hosts Pro Bono Recognition Events
AppalReD Legal Aid and its pro bono program, also known as Volunteer Lawyers for Appalachian Kentucky, are hosting two luncheons this month, one in Somerset and one in Prestonsburg, to recognize the legal work done by private attorneys throughout its service area on behalf of the area’s low-income individuals and families.  The events are part of a national pro bono recognition effort conducted annually in October.  The Somerset event will be held on Wednesday, October 10th beginning at noon,

Eric C. Conn hearings put on hold for 60 days
(WYMT) - The Social Security Administration suspended the ongoing re-determination hearings for former clients of Eric C. Conn. The hearings are put on hold for 60 days so that clients have a chance to recover files that were recently removed from Conn's old law office. In a Facebook post, attorney Ned Pillersdorf said Congressman Hal Rogers was instrumental in getting this done.
PSC approves Ky Power, Community Action effort to help more customers in need

AppalReD Legal Aid provides free legal help in civil matters to low-income and vulnerable people in 37 counties in eastern and south central Kentucky.  AppalReD Legal Aid is well-known for its family law work including protective orders, divorces, and custody cases.  Many people do not know that AppalReD also handles cases in many other legal areas.  Those other areas include:
