FRANKFORT, KENTUCKY– MARCH 24 2022 Kentuckians now have access to a free, new and improved legal resource that provides answers to common legal questions, self-help forms, guides, and other tools to resolve life’s important legal problems.
Call for Volunteers
AppalReD/VLAK is in urgent need of attorneys to accept cases, pro bono or by contract ("low bono"), in all counties in our service area, but particularly in Floyd, Johnson, Monroe, Cumberland and Adair Counties. The Pro Se Family Law Clinic is available for persons from any county in our service area, will be limited to 20 participants and is available for both clients with or without children of the marriage. Once you sign up we will receive a Zoom link to confirm your spot. After the virtual clinic, Goodwill will request your unofficial background records from the Administrative Office of the Court for the purpose of expungement. A copy of your background will be provided to AppalReD Legal Aid (or your area's legal aid), so they will be able to go over it with you to determine what is eligible for expungement.
