Disaster 101 CLE: In Person and Online Training

On April 4, 2025 AppalReD Legal Aid's Disaster Response Team and Pro Bono Program offered a free, three-hour CLE. Presenters were attorneys who have worked at the forefront of Kentucky’s most recent natural disasters. After watching this training attorneys will feel confident to volunteer and effectively represent clients with issues arising from the February 2025 flooding or other natural disasters their communities may face. Attorneys will receive an overview of typical legal issues relating to natural disasters and learn more about FEMA appeals and how attorneys can best represent their clients in navigating these issues while trying to recover.
