However, over 240,000 people live below the poverty level in our region, and many legal needs go unmet. AppalReD accepts monetary donations to help us provide legal services to those in need. PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (MTN) — The majority of citizens who were affected by the Eric C. Conn disability claim debacle could see their long-awaited client share checks in the mail as early as this week.
According to a Facebook post by Prestonsburg attorney Ned Pillersdorf, his office has organized over 1,100 checks and envelopes, which were mailed out on Tuesday, June 23rd.

This is a FREE virtual clinic available for persons from any county in our service area, will be limited to 15 participants and is available for both clients with or without children of the marriage. To participate, you will need a computer or tablet (with a camera and microphone) or a smartphone, and access to the internet. If you choose to complete the forms online during the clinic you will need to participate by computer or tablet with a keyboard to enter your information. Join us for a pro se family law clinic in Floyd County on October 21. AppalReD Legal Aid attorneys and pro bono volunteers will be at the Floyd County Library from 1:00-4:00 p.m. This clinic is for clients from any county of service region and for those with and without children.
