The Volunteer Lawyers for Veterans Program is a statewide initiative that offers civil legal services to veterans living in poverty by pairing them with a pro bono (free) attorney!

Did you receive less financial assistance from FEMA than you think you are owed? Need help appealing a denied FEMA claim after the recent disaster?
Volunteering at a pro se family law clinic or a FEMA Appeal clinic is a great way to make a big difference with a limited time investment (3 hours). Virtual clinics are even more convenient. You can volunteer from your home or office! Email CharnelB@ardfky.org to volunteer.
Flood and tornado survivors facing denied FEMA claims, landlord-tenant disputes, lost documents, contractor scams, or other disaster-related legal issues can call AppalReD’s Disaster Intake Hotline at 1-844-478-0099 to apply for free legal assistance. Survivors can also visit an AppalReD office, connect with staff at Disaster Recovery Centers, or leave a message for a Disaster Response Team member to return their call.
