Join AppalReD Legal Aid and make a difference in the lives of thousands of low-income individuals and communities throughout eastern Kentucky. AppalReD employees are dedicated, passionate people, coming together to help our clients protect their families, homes, health, and livelihoods. AppalReD Legal Aid offers a variety of employment opportunities for attorneys, paralegals, legal support and administration staff as well as those seeking fellowships. We have offices in Barbourville, Hazard, Richmond, Pikeville, Prestonsburg, and Somerset.
In April 2024, sixty members of AppalReD Legal Aid met to reflect on the values AppalReD Legal Aid stands for and the organization we are and strive to be.

AppalReD Legal Aid collaborated with the Floyd County Fiscal Court to host a FEMA Appeals clinic to help people who had their FEMA applications denied.

Some people take advantage of disaster survivors by attempting to steal their identities or scam them. Scammers particularly target the elderly. Disaster survivors should protect their money and privacy by being aware of common scam and fraud attempts.
