AppalReD Legal Aid provides free legal help in civil matters to low-income and vulnerable people in 37 counties in eastern and south central Kentucky.  AppalReD Legal Aid is well-known for its family law work including protective orders, divorces, and custody cases.  Many people do not know that AppalReD also handles cases in many other legal areas.  Those other areas include:

Nancy and Rich Potter had the kind of marriage that made other couples jealous. He’d take her on spontaneous trips. She’d wear her Daisy Dukes just for him. Joyce Birman said her late husband, George, made a terrible first impression. It was his apology for it that made her fall for him, hard. Vickie Salyers’ husband, Gene, loved hunting and fishing, but he loved being a father and grandfather most of all.

Uncontested Divorce Clinic - Hazard, KY
AppalReD Legal Aid announces a do-it-yourself Divorce Clinic to assist low-income people to secure an uncontested divorce without using a lawyer. The clinic will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. The clinic will begin promptly at 1:00 P.M. at the Hazard Community and Technical College, One Community College Drive, Hazard, KY. Registration is required for this clinic (no walk-ins). To register, contact Dana Branham at (606) 886-3876, Ext. 1520.
