Swing by for help cleaning up your record, recovery and health resources, and to meet with community advocates. No advance registration needed. Just drop by!
Please note this is not a Goodwill-sponsored expungement clinic so expungement fees are not covered. However, attorneys can help with fee waiver forms.

File a claim with your insurance company.
Comprehensive policies usually pay for storm-related damage to a car. Federal disaster assistance may help fill the gaps for those whose coverage does not pay for any or all storm-related damage costs.

AppalReD Legal Aid is holding a legal clinic to assist flood survivors with their disaster-related legal issues, such as FEMA appeals, on Wednesday, October 5th from 9:00am to 4:00pm at CANE Kitchen in the old Whitesburg High School building in Whitesburg, Kentucky (38 College Drive, Whitesburg, KY 41858). AppalReD attorneys will be on site to assist existing clients and as many new clients as possible. If you are not an existing client, we encourage you to first call our flood hotline at 1(844) 478-0099 to complete an intake and ensure that we are able to help.
Only estimate storm-related damages. Do NOT estimate deferred maintenance.
Only estimate repairs to bring home to safe, sanitary, and livable condition. Estimate should NOT include repairs that bring the home to its pre-storm condition.
Quote standard replacement items such as floor covering, walls/ceilings, fixtures, and appliances.
List all line items with measurements, materials, labor, and work type (Ex. “Demo only”, “R&R”).
HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - The flood last July left thousands of people without a home or with one that needed severe repairs, and because of the level of disaster, FEMA applications were available for flood survivors.
Which meant Eastern Kentuckians were eligible to receive up to $37,900 in federal funding to help.
