What does Kentucky law say about bullying?
Kentucky anti-bullying laws include the following definition of bullying: “Bullying” means any unwanted verbal, physical, or social behavior among students that involves a real or perceived power imbalance and is repeated or has the potential to be repeated:     1. That occurs on school premises, on school-sponsored transportation, or at a school-sponsored event; or     2. That disrupts the education process. Ky. Rev. Stat. § 158.148 (2016)

  Many parents are uncertain about bringing up the impact of domestic violence on their child. Parents may hope once their child is in a safe place they will forget about it. They may think discussing it does harm or "the less they know the better." A parent may be scared it will anger the abuser.

Join us for a Lunch and Learn on Wednesday, June 18 hosted by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern Kentucky District at the London federal courthouse (or online). Learn how the legal community is helping ameliorate domestic violence, such as through pro bono legal services. Earn 1.5 hour CLE, including ½ hour ethics credit.

This Expungement Self Help Guide is designed for people who have met with an AppalReD lawyer at an expungement clinic and discussed their expungement eligibility but are not eligible for further services from AppalReD.  The information in the guide only applies to Kentucky state charges and cannot assist with federal charges or charges fromother states.

The Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy offers general information and a helpful guidebook at Clean Slate Kentucky. ExpungeKY.com is an independent website that offers an app to help you determine if you are eligible and, if so, generate ready-to-file forms. KYJUSTICE.org has a section on expungements under "Individual Rights." There is a great video explainer.
