After eight years of dedicated work to further AppalReD Legal Aid’s mission of expanding equal access to justice and providing high quality legal assistance to low-income families, Rob Johns has announced that he will be departing from his role as Executive Director May 1, 2023. Johns will continue his service of low-income Kentuckians as he takes the helm of Legal Aid of The Bluegrass.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 27, 2023) – Attorney General Daniel Cameron today announced more than $8 million in grant funding to 24 opioid abatement programs in the Commonwealth. The grants will be awarded by the Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission (KYOAAC) within the Attorney General’s office. The grants will assist Kentucky organizations in combating the opioid epidemic through prevention, treatment, or recovery services.
