So far this year our Pro Bono Program has closed 150 cases, helping 259 adults and 151 children with a variety of legal issues. Through our in-person and virtual clinics, we have assisted individuals in representing themselves in divorce and custody proceedings. Through virtual clinics, we have assisted tenants in avoiding evictions by helping them form a real, effective plan for dealing with landlord-tenant issues BEFORE an eviction action was filed in court.

Get a fresh start by clearing your criminal record! On May 27, AppalReD attorneys and pro bono volunteers will be available between 1:00-3:00 pm to review eligible charges and help you move forward with expungement.

AppalReD Legal Aid is partnering with the Floyd County Health Department to offer a FREE expungement clinic! Join us July 8, 2026, from 12:00 to 5:00 PM to meet with an attorney and find out if you are eligible for an expungement and what steps you need to take next if you are.

The Pro Bono Team and our volunteers conduct an in-person family law, wills, and dismissal only expungement clinic at Red Bird Mission every month from 10 to 4. Our schedule for the rest of the year is:
