Join us for a special virtual event for middle and high schoolers and the people who care about them. Teen dating violence is more common than many people think. 1 in 3 teens in the U.S. will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse by someone they are in a relationship with before they become adults.

So let's talk about it! AppalReD Attorney Michelle Fisher and Bethany House Advocates will provide information and answer your questions. We'll talk healthy, unhealthy, and abusive relationships; protections available for those suffering from dating violence and abuse, including virtual abuse; and the court process.

COVID-19 puts people at higher risk for abuse, especially digital abuse, because practically everything we do is online. Any external factors that add stress, isolation, and financial strain can create circumstances where safety is further compromised. During these isolating times, it's even more important to connect and also talk digital safety.

Below you can find resources that will be referenced during the event.
