Medicare/Medicaid
MEDICAID or “Medical Assistance” benefits are based on need and available to residents of Kentucky
through many categories of assistance. They range from hospital care to Long Term Nursing Home Care.
K-Chip (Kentucky Children’s Health Insurance Program) benefits are available to children in homes with
income below 200% of the federal poverty level. AppalReD represents clients that have been wrongfully
denied Medicaid, or are have their Medicaid benefits terminated, in all of the different Medicaid programs.
AppalReD represents clients in some denials of Medicare coverage, can advise on what coverage is available
through Medicare, such as Parts A, B, D and supplemental policies.
Long - Term Care benefits. AppalReD represents clients that have had their nursing home rights violated
and that have been denied, or have their long-term care benefits terminated, either in a nursing home, or
through one of the home waiver service programs. We also represent clients being wrongfully transferred
or discharged from a Nursing Facility.
